What Am I? Haiku Poems

A haiku is a Japanese style poem which has three lines made by using 5, then 7, then 5 syllables.

Lots of different colours

Aphids are so yum

Bee Poems

We finished off our writing this term by creating poems about bees.

Bees are as sweet as an angel.

A bee is as fluffy as a bunny.

Ouch a bee stings me.

It feels like a needle plucked me. The worker bees work as hard as a maid.

The bee is buzzing around like a lawn mower.

Bees fly to a flower and it sounds like buzz.

Then she flew to New Zealand on a journey and made rich honey and got a lot of money.

Bee was yellow and black. When you see the bee it is like no other without bees we are dead.

Buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz.

Bees fly as fast as a person spiting for a medal.

Who collected pollen and honey

She’s yellow and black

And lives in a shack

But now is no longer funny.

Bees as bright as the morning sun

making yummy honey for your tummy

Springing from flower to flower making a soft buzzing sound

Everyone is no longer funny because the queen bee has lots of money

The bees work as hard as god making the world, the bees fly like they’re in trouble. They sound like someone saying “zzz” the wrong way, bees as bright as the morning sun and as dark as the midnight sky.

Swim Sports

Well done Room 34 for all of your great swimming yesterday at the Year 4 Swim Sports.
You all put so much effort into your events.
Some people did particularly well, and as you can see below, we won every event! We also won the relay event!
Particular mention has to go to Stella, James and Max. Well done!
Unfortunately, we did not get any pictures. If anyone got any good ones of our relay race, could you please send them to Mrs Carryer for the blog.
